If you feel overwhelmed, remember you’re still breathing.
In this exhibition, I play with the pictorial space as a fertile playground to address the ambiguous connections between body, mind, space, and time.
I use the drawn body for its potential to suggest internal states of the human mind. I collage it with realistic and abstract botanical elements to address human anxieties such as the passing of time, the decay of the body, the fear of death, or the friction between the inside and the outside worlds. By addressing such vulnerabilities, I strive to exorcise, understand, and accept them.
